START-UP NIGHT Presented by Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs with VC firms including:
Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs, in partnership with leading venture capital firms, invited students to experience Start-Up Night, an alternative to traditional campus recruiting. At Start-Up Night on March 15th, a panel of VC partners provided rare insight into the types of positions available at their portfolio companies. Handouts from each of the firms are available: Students had an opportunity to submit statements of intent and resumes for a Resume Book. This Resume Book will be sent to Start-Up Night firms, as well as companies that contact Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs with an interest in hiring students. Start-Up Night was designed to provide entrepreneurial-minded Wharton students—both undergrads and MBAs—a better understanding of job descriptions and career possibilities at early stage companies. In addition, Start-Up Night complements WEP’s Entrepreneurial Intern Fellowship, in which selected students who have secured internships at early stage companies receive cash awards. EVENT DETAILS
Hosting Start-Up Night is Jay Penske, Chairman and CEO of VSI, Inc. Mr. Penske is an alumnus of the Wharton School. Questions? For more information on this and other WEP activities Contact WEP, or visit our Web site: http://www.wep.wharton.upenn.edu. |
